A Game of Go |
![]() |
Twenty-one years after our last Go game at Brown University, Mann Jang and I had the opportunity for yet another game.
In late summer 1990, he and I attended the P. J. Bray Symposium at Brown University. We went to honor Dr. Philip J. Bray, who had been our dissertation adviser and now was retiring from Brown's Physics Department. We renewed many old friendships. The following day, at Brown's beautiful Haffenreffer property on the shores of Mount Hope Bay in Rhode Island, we joined our friends at a picnic. Of course I had brought my Go board.
I asked for all things,
That I might enjoy life.
I was given life,
That I might enjoy all things.
