Windows and TCP/IP for Internet Access

WS_FTP (FTP client)

Comment: This excellent FTP client is but one example of how Internet clients have become both simpler and more complex as the applications mature. WS_FTP is now easier to install, but the user needs to decide which version to use. There are now three different versions of WS_FTP, all of which are distributed in a single ZIP file. There is a 16-bit version that will run under Windows 3.1. There is a 32-bit version with a 4-window interface that runs under Windows 3.1 provided Win32s is installed. It also runs under Windows 95 and Windows NT. Finally there is a 32-bit version with a 2-window interface that requires the multi-threading capabilities of Windows 95 or Windows NT. There is also a commercial, enhanced version known as WS_FTP Pro sold by Ipswitch, Inc..
